Túrin and Beleg were in the tournament! They lost to Beren and Finrod in the first round though…the others are all good suggestions too! Just didn’t have enough room this year
I know Frodo and Sam should win, but the part in the movie where Pippin is leaving for Gondor and says "we'll see each other again won't we?" And merry says "I don't know what's going to happen" breaks my heart in a thousand pieces. And then when Pippin finds Merry on Pellenor Fields, "Are you going to leave me?" "No Merry, I'm going to look after you" my favorites. I wish we had a spinoff of just Billy and Dom hanging out in the shire, getting high and causing mayhem
I am just hoping for some 5 seed madness. The 1v2 seed on the other side should be tight though. Unfortunately I don't think the one seed will prevail because it is in the expanded lore.
Legolas and Gimli are brilliant, but them beating Beren and Luthien would be a scandal to me. I suppose it's natural that characters from "Rings" are bound to have something of an advantage, but we're pitting a cool duo against a heart-wrenchingly fateful couple who define pretty much everything that Middle-Earth, and Tolkien's work, is about.
Still a great competition whatever happens though, none of these double acts can be called shallow!
