Is there really any surprise? Last year it was the everyman hero Sam Gamgee who ran the field to victory. This year in an expanded field of the fantastical victory goes to the one character (Eowyn) based on a real-life person Æthelflæd, Lady of the Mercians.

I re-submit my idea to have the first round be that dopplegangers face each other, and then have the best of the bunch go against each other (ala Highlander, there can be only one)
